    ### Ingredients:
    – 1 cup water
    – ½ cup unsalted butter
    – 1 cup all-purpose flour
    – 4 large eggs
    – Pinch of salt
    – 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
    – Whipped cream or pastry cream for filling

    ### Instructions:

    1. **Preheat Oven**: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    2. **Prepare Dough**: In a saucepan, bring water, butter, salt, and sugar (if using) to a boil over medium heat. Once the mixture is boiling, reduce the heat to low and add the flour all at once. Stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

    3. **Cook Dough**: Continue cooking the dough for about 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, to evaporate some of the moisture. This step helps the dough to puff up properly.

    4. **Cool Dough**: Remove the dough from the heat and transfer it to a mixing bowl. Allow it to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.

    5. **Add Eggs**: Beat in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. The dough should be smooth and glossy.

    6. **Shape Cones**: Spoon the dough into a piping bag fitted with a large round tip. Pipe the dough into cone shapes on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cone for expansion.

    7. **Bake**: Bake the pastry cones in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. Avoid opening the oven door during baking, as this may cause the pastries to deflate.

    8. **Cool**: Once baked, remove the pastry cones from the oven and let them cool completely on a wire rack.

    9. **Fill**: Once cooled, fill the pastry cones with whipped cream or pastry cream using a piping bag or spoon.

    10. **Serve**: Serve the cream puff pastry cones immediately, or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
